I met Jackie through her sweet Rottweiler, Lola, when I was just trying to make ends meet as a single mom starting my business, Eventfully Yours, and working as a dog sitter. What began as simple dog sitting turned into a beautiful friendship, and before long, she felt like family. 

Jackie was one of the most generous, intelligent, kind, encouraging, and classy women I’ve ever known. I remember when she first told me she felt like she was losing her grip and had gone to the doctor. Not long after, she confided that she had been diagnosed with ALS. From that moment on, I stood by her through every painful step, watching her strong mind stay trapped in a body that no longer cooperated. 

When she was diagnosed, Jackie asked me to promise that I would care for Lola. Three years later, Lola is still part of our family a living reminder of Jackie’s love and the bond we’ll always share. I love Jackie and miss her so much.
